Look, we didn't set out to become Toronto's go-to sustainable architecture firm. It just kinda happened that way back in 2012 when three of us were sitting in a cramped apartment sketching ideas on napkins.
We'd all worked at those massive corporate firms where everything felt cookie-cutter and profit-driven. Don't get me wrong, we learned tons there, but something was missing. We wanted to actually care about what we were designing, y'know?
So we took the leap. Started small with a couple residential projects where clients trusted us to try something different. Turned out people actually wanted spaces that didn't just look good but worked WITH the environment instead of against it.
Fast forward to now, we've got an amazing team of 17 designers, architects, and planners who genuinely give a damn about every project. Still working out of Queen West, still sketching ideas (though mostly on iPads these days), and still believing that good architecture shouldn't cost the earth - literally.
We're not gonna throw a bunch of fancy architectural jargon at you. Here's what really matters to us when we're designing your space.
Not the greenwashing kind. We're talking real materials, passive design, and buildings that'll last generations without wrecking the planet.
We try new stuff but we're not gonna experiment on your dime. If something's worked for centuries, we'll use it. If tech makes it better, we're in.
You live or work in the space, so your input actually matters. We're here to guide, not dictate. Best projects happen when we're all talking.
Every site tells a story. We don't do copy-paste architecture. What works in Liberty Village won't work in Yorkville, and that's cool.
A bunch of architecture nerds who take their coffee seriously and deadlines even more so.
Co-Founder & Principal Architect
Been designing sustainable spaces for 15 years. Still gets excited about finding the perfect window placement. Obsessed with Japanese minimalism and Toronto's brick heritage.
Co-Founder & Design Director
The guy who'll spend three hours debating material choices. Studied in Copenhagen, brought back a love for cozy spaces and bike-friendly design. Makes terrible puns during client meetings.
Urban Planning Lead
Knows Toronto's zoning bylaws like the back of her hand. Fights for better public spaces and actually reads city council reports for fun. Somehow makes urban planning sound exciting.
Senior Project Manager
The person who keeps us all on track. Masters in construction management but his real skill is dealing with our chaotic creative process. Loves a good Gantt chart.
Sustainability Consultant
Our green building expert who's certified in basically every eco-standard out there. Will politely tell you why your material choice is killing polar bears, then suggest three better options.
Commercial Design Specialist
Worked on some of Toronto's coolest office spaces. Believes good workplace design actually makes people want to come to work. Probably drinking an espresso right now.
Awards are nice, but honestly we're more proud of the clients who become friends.

We meet, talk, listen. No sales pitch, just getting to know what you need and whether we're a good fit. Sometimes we're not, and that's totally fine.
We visit the location like five times. Morning light, afternoon shadows, how the neighbors look, traffic patterns. Details matter.
This is where we sketch, model, debate, and probably change our minds a dozen times. We'll show you options and talk through the pros and cons.
We take your feedback seriously and iterate. This phase involves a lot of back-and-forth, which is good - it means we're getting it right.
All the technical drawings, specs, and permits. Not the sexy part but crucial. We handle the bureaucracy so you don't have to.
We don't just hand off drawings and disappear. Site visits, contractor coordination, problem-solving on the fly. We're there till it's done.
Whether you've got detailed plans or just a vague idea, we'd love to hear about it. No pressure, no obligation - just a conversation.
